Kite Flying at the Shipyard

9.4C bright with long sunny spells. S/SSE wind to 41 mph with gusts to 55 mph.

Morning at home.

Glenbarr for lunch.

Then we went to Westport beach with Maeve the Deerhound with the intention of having a long walk along the sand and enjoying watching the waves. However, the Southerly wind was blasting the dry sand along the beach so after walking a couple of hundred metres we decided it wasn't to be today. Maeve was very uncomfortable and struggling a bit in the wind which was blowing the sand along the beach right at her eye level.

We went home. Once Maeve was settled Apothecary7 and I went a walk out Low Askomill to the old shipyard. There was a family flying a kite. The kite was almost flying the family.

Later Apothecary7 was continuing with making a rag rug.

Later still there was Haggis ... it is Burn's night after all.
