Perth

A long journey from Chennai to Singapore and then down to Perth, Western Australia. It was 41° degrees when we stepped off the plane in Perth - phew!!

It is also Australia day so fireworks (woops just cancelled) and so lot's of bbqs
Baramundi and salad for supper followed by a shared ice-cream sundae.

The photo is taken from the plane as we came in to land - lots of empty space and what l take to be salt pans making a rather lovely aerial view and l thought it looked a little like an Aboriginal painting. We were nowhere near the sea at this stage.

A sad fact. The fireworks for Australia day were cancelled as a result of a small aircraft which crashed into the Swan river killing both the pilot and a passenger whilst doing acrobatics.
