A view from Jeanneb

Wet, wet, wet.

Rain all day in Brizzle but it didn't matter as we were down in town early to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition in the Mshed, Harbourside.

Amazing work and no crowds. It is third year running that I have been fortunate enough to see this and it is the second year it has been put on in the Mshed as it hasn't been open that long.
We saw this promotional poster of the young urban fox and thought the background look very much like typical Bristol houses and we were right. Taken right here in Brizzle. Other photographers were from all over the world covering all aspects of the natural world. Hard to choose a favourite and of course you can't take photographs but in this place the little fox takes some beating even though it wasn't a winner just a finalist. (As it is a promotional poster I assume I'm ok with copyright, I bought it on a fridge magnet too)

Afterwards we headed to the Eastgate centre and the Water Sky Bristol Restaurant to join the 'MacChen's'. An amazing array of food and, as on the previous occasion, we allowed Jess to make the selection. A proper Chinese feast and a great way to welcome the Year of the Rooster

Home now, rain all the way till we reached South Yorkshire and then it was misty. Not long until March when I will be back down.
