Last Light on the Yorkshire Dales

I motored to Scotland today to join a Fujiholics photography workshop based in Glencoe.

Gorgeous winter light, colour and recession east of the A1 but little time to stop.

Finally, I got out in a layby on the A66 to catch a sunset sky over the Yorkshire Dales.

I checked into the Days Inn at Annandale Services. Thoroughly to be recommended for overnighting and I was pleased to see a big bowl of water for dogs in reception. Very reasonably priced, warm and comfortable.

My only caveat was the lack of food choice for dinner, especially as I'm coeliac and have to eat gluten free. Either MacDonalds or Costa. I ended up having two cheeseburgers sans buns. No wonder my stomach felt heavy all night.
