Red Deer Hind

Still with 100 miles to travel to Glencoe, I woke refreshed, ate my M&S gf sarnies bought the day before for breakfast and set off. The sarnies were a bit dry.

Some wonderful misty views over Loch Lomond, where I stopped two or three times.

Driving up on to Rannoch Moor, I spotted red deer around the King's House Hotel, where we had stayed last January. I think the bunk houses may still be being used but there's no sign of work being done on the hotel itself.

No snow on the mountains except in a few crevices.

Arrived safely at the Clachaig Inn and unpacked leisurely. Briefing in the bar after dinner. Several people had been delayed flying in by fog over southern Britain. Relatively mild in Scotland.
