A Sunday Stroll

Thank you for all the faves and stars for yesterday's steampunk shot.

We went to try and rescue Mrs madwill's car this morning but it didn't want to come home, so we had to call the RAC. They arrived within a few minutes and soon diagnosed a dead battery - not just flat, but completely useless. It was 'fully charged' to 12V - but couldn't deliver anything like the required power to turn the starter. Apparently modern batteries don't fail gradually like the old lead/acid ones, they can just die suddenly. So we had a new one fitted and all is well (apart from the unexpected expense).

After lunch Finlay and I went for our walk - a lovely sunny afternoon. This group caught us up very quickly on the lane, striding purposefully to their destination. Miserable lot they were though - only two of them said hello - despite me saying 'good afternoon' as they passed.
