Dooneen

All weather's going on today - hail, wind, rainbows and a fair amount of sunshine. We decided to risk it and went off for a wander around the  headland at Dooneen. The colours were so rich and so different in every direction. This view is looking east from the pier, a popular fishing spot and the extras show another view east but higher up on the cliffs where there's a little lough, and looking north, a bit more rugged but I love that white cottage.  We saw oyster catchers, gannets, loud gulls, darting rock pippets and most extraordinary and unexpected of all, a host of By the Wind Sailors, all washed up in a little gully - hundreds of them, and so late in the year. Amazing things.
