Gently down the stream

Fungus

It's not really the time of year for fungi so these fruiting bodies are probably left over from the autumn.  I thought they looked wonderfully rich and velvety in the sun.  As to what they are, my only guess is that they are dried out beefsteak fungus??  Not sure though, because of the concentric ridge/s.  And they weren't growing on an oak tree or even a sweet chestnut.  Do tell me if you know :)

Not a lot else, though it's a beautiful day.  Apart from the walk I'm saving my energy for choir tonight.  And sometimes you just have to slow down and breathe..

Have a good one  xx
