Waves of White

Dear Diary,

To the left of Auntie's tree is the terra cotta cat sculpture, completely buried now.  But this is just the beginning it seems.  Over the next week to 10 days we will get storm after storm, all significant ones too which around here means 8-12 inches or more.  It will be a very trying time.  Luckily, there was a bit of melting yesterday but there will be no such luck from now on.  The temperatures will stay below freezing.

Still, in these quite moments before the snow starts again I can appreciate the beautiful waves of white that have transformed my back yard.  It is hard to picture all those beautiful flowers snuggled under that blanket of white.  But they are there and they will make their appearance in the own time.  Now it is winter's time and we must have, wait for it, PATIENCE!
