From my Chair...

This house has been a bit of a whirlwind today.  At one point there were 11 builders vans on site!  Joiners, plumbers, tilers, heating engineer, pool specialist, electrician, labourers, painter....and on it goes.

After grabbing a bowl of porridge, I decided the safest thing to do was retreat to my comfy chair in the living room and stay out of everyone's way, which turned out to be the right decision as I got loads done.  Won't bore you to death by listing my achievements :)

Meanwhile round about me, final things were falling into place.  The electrician was tearing round testing circuits and smoke alarms, the pool guy was changing the drain covers in the pool for sleeker ones that are less of a trip hazard, decking getting build at the garden room door and the pool room door, heating engineer moving the heating pipes in our bedroom so the lift hole can be cut next week, painter doing the last of the painting and some touching up.  It's all coming together :-)

The storage cupboards for the pool room arrived this afternoon.  Been a bit apprehensive about these as we chose the doors from a tiny sample but they are perfect.  They compliment the tiles in the pool room perfectly. 

I realised this evening David will have to bring all the swimming towels I've been buying over the last year downstairs so they can be washed ready for use.   Can't quite believe we're at that stage!
