If you can't beat them...

Nether Bridge Kendal

We had heard that an Otter and cubs had been seen on the River Kent in Kendal during the day.  On the off chance we decided to visit Kendal.  No sign  of Otters either the animal or physical sign.  However we had a nice wander round.

While we were inspecting the river this group of canoeists came down putting paid to our hopes of seeing Otters.  The shot shows them approaching Nether Bridge.  A bridge which as been there since the 14th Century and if you look under the arches you can see it has been twice widened.

After Kendal we detoured to Sunbiggin Tarn in search of the elusive murmuration.  This is the  third site we have tried no luck at the first two.    A bit more luck this time!  There was a murmuration but by the time they gathered it was too dark for photos :-(
