If you can't beat them...

Rook

A cold dull miserable sort of day.  I had a very late morning while Clickychick was out and about (as usual).

I started blipping with the idea of recording the unusual number of Siskins we are getting in the garden at the moment.  Today's maximum count being 12.  I got some fairly reasonable shots, however this Rook posed nicely and they aren't very frequent visitors to the garden.   Which is surprising as there are a number of Rookeries nearby.

Rooks have a summer population of approaching 1,000,000 and have been around according to archeological evidence for at least 150,000 years.
