Segways in Mote Park

A rather fine day tody. First a walk around Mote Park where we spotted this group of Segway riders enjoying a session on their machines and ending up at Tesco to buy a few last second things for the visit of Al and Liz

Then an excellent day of feasting and visiting followed. A good lunch was first up;  home made tomato soup, cheese, crackers, bread, pickles. and pate. Then off to see the Graham Clarke exhibition in the Museum which we had been to see last week. In the museum was also an exhibition of embroidered watercolours where the artist had used watercolour pencils on the front and back of fabric to create the picture which she'd enhanced with free stitch embroidery.

A welcome cup of tea when we got home, accompanied by a slice of Aunty Florrie's Tea Bread which kept the pangs at bay until the chilli and jackets for dinner rounded off with a clootie dumpling.

After all that there was a bit of relaxation and research where we looked for a location for a weekend break in May, deciding on the Peak District finding and booking a cottage in Buxton for a 4 night stay.
