Jolly walk

It was our last Jane Austen session today and we all enjoyed it. Everybody is meeting for a pooled lunch in a fortnight but sadly I can't go, as I'll be in Keswick for Words on the Water. In September we are tackling Russian literature - I won't be going as we hope to be travelling in Kyrgyzstan.

Usually I meet a Marion in town for lunch, as she lives there, but today she came to my house instead. She lived here 35 years ago when we first met, then we both moved away, so she enjoyed a walk on the moor for the first time for years. It was lovely to catch up with her.

Mr C has found the perfect light relief from our hospital closure, Brexit and Trump concerns - we have found our DVDs of Hamish McBeth to watch tonight.
