Summer Love . . .

Loudest insect song
Communicating to her
Silently joined

This morning I first heard the male cicada singing loudly on the Lancewood tree by the deck.  Then I spotted the female on the next trunk and then they were one and it was quiet.  They must have stayed together for five minutes so I just took lots of pics.  At the end they tumbled off the tree into the garden below.  After finding which way was up they then flew off in different directions.  I put in the extra because I liked the shine on the wings and the blur of the other tree trunk.
I will be absent for the next week.  We are going to Totaranui camping.  I mean old style camping in a tent with no electricity :-)
