The Winds of Whitstable

This is the rather spectacular view from the Seasalter beach front which is only a stones throw from the swiss chalet we have & are currently staying in.

It was an incredibly blustery & gust-ery day, as can be seen by the plants having a lay down & the waves crashing against the shore, not to mention the big, grey clouds moving fast overhead. The storminess was giving Ma & me headaches & earaches. I ran all the way to the colourful beach huts in the far distance which didn't turn out to be too far, but I did have to battle through a spell of horizontal rain at one point.

We plan to take this same route tomorrow & walk all the way to Whitstable where we're going to have lunch in town, maybe even some f & c on the b (fish & chips on the beach - for those who don't know the lingo) if the weather holds up & isn't blowing such a hooley. We took Oz out this eve for a run & the wind was hurricane like & so loud.

Very nice second day off. Dad & Step-Ma Jenny came over for dinner - Ma had picked up a crackin bargain in town, some lovely local pork chops. De-lish!
