Before and After

A big thank you to a friend of ours for a splendid bottle of wine enjoyed with tonight’s dinner.  I think lamb goes best with Rioca, but ‘H Bone’ beef did just as well.
 
It was, in turn, a thank you from Ian who was very pleased with the latest ‘Country Eye’ diary that I published for him.  Well he must have been very pleased to give us this quality of wine – very rare and very excellent (thank you Ian, again).
 
On the whole (perhaps hole) today has been no better than yesterday, but at least the Zorb (other granules are available, I think) did the job and when I vacuumed up this morning the only evidence of an oil spill was a clean bit of carpet . . .
 
I’ll catch up with commenting tomorrow – I hope.
