Time Warp

By now, I'm sure you are painfully aware that we will be closing on our new Boston apartment next Wednesday, March 1st.  Being the organized types that we are, when we were in Boston last week we arranged a mutually convenient date with professional movers to ferry our possessions from one apartment to another, and also to bring certain things from Connecticut to Boston once the work we need done on the new place is finished.  This date was set for March 21st.

This morning, I received a phone call from Richard, who was chuckling at the other end of the line.  He wanted to tell me that he'd just heard from security at the Boston address, who were letting him know that the moving men had arrived to relocate us from the 15th to the 26th floor ... Oops!  They are a month early!  Can you imagine the surprise and annoyance the current owners would have felt if they'd answered their door this morning to find a bunch of guys with arms full of our possessions, ready to take over their place!!!
