Tiny Tuesday: Fairy

We're still staying at Mum-in-law's house in Macclesfield, which is good for blips as she has lots of interesting trinkets etc.

The fairy on this rather nice little ornament is only about 1cm high, sitting on the lid of his silver-plated box. I'm told that there used to be a silver flower hovering over him (sadly it broke off and got lost) which probably explains the poem inscribed on the box:

The campion white
Above the grass
Her lamps doth light
Where fairies pass.
Softly they show
The secret way
Unflickering glow
For elf and fay.

Many thanks to blipper wrperry who's hosting TT this month.

Good news about Mum-in-Law today: the care home which we chose for her is happy to accept her as a new resident, and we're going to collect her from the hospital tomorrow and take her there. Inevitably that resulted in some tears when we told her about it this afternoon, but we're sure that once she settles in she'll be happy there. Apparently there are even some keen Scrabble players living there so she should be able to join in and compete!
