Where did the day go?

All of a sudden it was time to retire to bed! What happened to the day? Admittedly we had things to do. We were up early for an ultimately uncessary visit to a garage with the Skoda benefiting from a breakfast at Sainsburys while we waited for them to do just a free safety check. Originally I'd booked in on line for an oil change but it turned out this was not needed.

Back home and out again for a walk before lunch. Dull old day again, mild air temperatures with a wind that made it feel cool. This was the only blip I could see today.

After lunch a little desultory "just jobs" passed the time quickly by which time it was up to Doreen's for a cup of tea as we will be away from tomorrow up to the Lakes.

After tea Susan went to guitar while I went for a run, Susan came back from the lesson with a friend to continue practicing so I had an hour or so on the uke at the same time.

And there it was, finished. Waiting to see how Doris turns out. Interesting name for a storm, more usually associated with little old ladies, but I know some of them are tough enough. We're not leaving til 7.00pm tomorrow so hopefully the worst will be over by then. Staying overnight at theNorthampton Travelodge for get a good start tomorrow morning.
