Now here we have an odd one! Dedicated to St Reg, patron saint of this island but largely poo-pooed in Glossa, (we have our own patron saint here thank you very much). The traditional store room beneath the church appears to have been extended to make living accommodation and it really is inhabited. I asked the inhabitant if I could see the church and it was indicated that I should enter from the right hand side of this photo. A path leads from the road to those railings, there is no gate, one must clamber over the railings and then walk around the side to the door which is locked. Peering through the glass it is quite apparent that the covered area outside the front of the church is in frequent use, there is a lovely garden and stairs leading down to the house below, but it is not possible to get to the church without going through the house and I was quite plainly not invited.
So readers, tell me what makes this one so different.
