Schlepper Sunday

Schlepper is one of the German words for "tractor". . In Hamburg harbour it would be a "tug". The word is also used for "human traffikers". In Bavaria, the common word for tractor is "Bulldog".

I was planning to take a photo of the circus which is doing a 4 day visit to Ottobeuren. Had seen it yesterday and thought I would research it first as my daughter is a militant anti animal circus protestor. I had not seen any sign of animals in the "camp", the closest a large painting on one of the trucks of a prancing white horse. Research on the web showed the circus was "animal free" but that it was an expensive and according to the newspapers, a total rip-off. Under the name of "Moskauer Circus" and with it's numerous russian script various posters, made out it was connected with the famous Moscow State Circus. None of it apparently. A complete waste of time and deliberate falsification by the Bavarian circus business. So no circus Blip.

Nice day and able to spend the day in the garden. After the evening dog walk, passed the area in the village I bliped the other day where they are clearing out some large trees. Now it looks like a major forest operation, with loads of large trunks waiting to be transported away,

This John Deere with a rear winch appears to be used to pull down the trees using the winch as it is a very narrow area between houses, buildings, a river and overhead power lines. It is badly damaged, the cage broken in two places, one door missing and a very dented bonnet. All model descriptions are gone. The plate on the motor says it is a Type "MW2" suggests it is from the 2002-2007 6020 range.

Little chance of a Tractor Tuesday due to them being needed to pull the carnival floats this coming week - if the weather plays along.
