Artistic Endeavour

The restraint I manifested yesterday in the Hobbycraft shop was truly admirable- a clip frame, a sheet of yellow card and a pouch of white acrylic paint. That was all. I like to think the news of Theresa May giving up her cheese and onion crisps for Lent, inspired me to give up buying craft materials for the same length of time.

The clip frame was acquired to exhibit my Elgin Granddaughter's latest painting. We have high hopes that in time she may become the female version of JoLoMo (John Lowrie Morrison, a popular Scottish artist), and turn around the family fortunes.

With spring in the air albeit with a somewhat chilly nip, things turned to a spot of storage reorganisation, with the inevitable result that nothing looks quite right in its new position, and unsightly marks were left behind in the original places.
Still, I will get used to it in time but it is all a bit unsettling, a touch of Spring Fever in the Dower House.
