Can't beat a splash of colour.

Booths may be a wee bit dearer, but they're worth an occasional visit, if just to discover there's more than one colour of sweet potato. I was aware of a diversity of carrot hues other than the "usual" orange ones.
Education alert!
"At this time, the Dutch were primarily known as carrot farmers. And they grew carrots in the traditional hues of purple, yellow, and white. In the 17th century, a strain of carrot was developed that contained higher amounts of beta carotene -- the first orange carrot. Dutch carrot farmers started growing the new orange carrots in honour of William of Orange, and the traditional, more colourful carrots, were tossed aside for these newly fashionable orange carrots.
Politics and fashion.
Of course."

Note to self:-
Do NOT put onions in Dry-Fryer, they don't work all that well.
