A time for everything

Sunset through the trees

Sunday
We awoke this morning to clear blue skies and sunshine. We had been late to bed last night, so weren't up too early this morning - just in time to have breakfast and get out to church. Then, after lunch and a couple of phone calls with family, it was time to get out to an afternoon concert at Knox Presbyterian church in Hyde Park. The concert featured their wonderful church choir doing a couple of excerpts from Mozart vespers and a Schubert Mass, together with a piece for oboe and strings. The Schubert Mass apparently is not often performed in this country, and as far as they could tell, the believed it may well have been a Cincinnati première! We got there quite early to make sure we got a seat, and as we walked in, we spotted a couple we knew, so we sat with them and chatted until the concert began. The afternoon had turned out really quite warm, so afterwards we popped home for Roger to put on his walking shoes and headed back out for an early evening walk around the lake at Sharon Woods, where my blip was taken.
