Janet

So today has once again been largely filled with riding down the M5 to the hospital and back up the M5 to home, and repeat. In between there have been domestic pleasures such as washing and ironing. But most of all there's been a happy Janet who can walk without too much discomfort.

It's been a roller coaster of a week, but there is hope that by the weekend we may both be home and relaxing in the garden under warm sunshine and with large gin and tonics in hand. Of course, she won't be able to drink it for all the drugs she'll come home with, but I'll help out as ever...

The evening was lovely too, with a walk around the village with my eldest and her dog, Dozer. There may have been a pint or two as well. But I couldn't choose any other photo today except this one, which I took to send Charlie in the south of France, where she's felt very far away from things.
