Women's World Day of Prayer

It's been a quiet day, in fact, I even started a book... Blink by Malcolm Gladwell.

Our good friend Suguna (lady on the left in the red saree) organises this special event every year, and it should have happened last Saturday, but got postponed. G & I went back to our old church for the first time since the summer of 2012. It was tough interesting!

The service itself is put together by ladies in another part of the world and the same songs, prayers and readings are used the world over. This year, they concentrated on the Philippines, so it was great that Suguna invited several Filipina ladies to be involved.

We had the customary tea party afterwards, and it was GREAT being in this room again where G & I spent many a happy Saturday afternoon taking Pathfinders years ago! We also met some people from way way back, and this became a bit of a photo opportunity. I thought everyone was being grown-up serious and looking into the camera, but something obviously happened! [The photo is taken by the father of one of our Pathfinders.]
