Hong Kong Day 4

Today was our last day in Hong Kong so we wanted to make the most of it, the weather was still pretty grey but it wasn't raining. We headed out on the ferry again to the island and then got a bus to the base of Victoria Peak. Known now just as "The Peak" it stands 552 metres above the sea and the summit can be reached by the 120 year cable tram.

From the top you get stunning views of both sides of Hong Kong and is well worth the trip up and braving the cold wind which we had today. Claire is not very fond of heights but today she put on a really brave face and think she enjoyed the experience as a whole.

It is hard to describe how steep the incline is but your back is firmly planted into the hard wooded seats as you climb the 8 minute track.

After we had seen the panoramic views we headed back down on our return tickets. We hopped on one of the very old trams at Base level which was an experience in it's self.

We were required to have a face to face immigration meeting mid afternoon so our day was pretty much done after doing a bit of last minute souvenir shopping.

Hong Kong you have been great fun.

Todays main image is of a vagabond in the subway in the extras you see the view from the peak and the tram that took us there.
