Holidays

It was a great day, weatherwise, for the first full day of this mini break. The sun shone and it was all shorts, sandals and t-shirts. We had coffee in The Clipper, Shaldon before taking the ferry over the Teign to Teignmouth. There it was lunch on the beach, keeping a beady eye on the beady eyes of the seagulls. Tom then challenged me to a game of crazy Adventure Golf. He thrashed me thoroughly, though he has been practicing his golf strokes in Stratford on the mini golf whilst I haven't played for a couple of years (my excuse anyway).

We then took the ferry back to Shaldon and walked to the Ness for a cuppa at Ode before the climb back up to the chalet over the approach golf course.

We closed off the evening with a meal and a couple of drinks at The Smugglers Inn, vegetarian carvery, very yum!

The photo was taken on Teignmouth beach whilst we were waiting for the return ferry. It shows Shaldon in the background across the estuary. I've had a little play with it for effect.
