Holdfast

Lovely dry bright day for my day off (in lieu).
Headed out to Westport beach and the more sheltered side of Kintyre today.
The waves were looking very spectacular against the backdrop of a snowy Jura.
Maeve enjoyed her walk along the beach.The metacalm seems to be easing her arthritis and she was positively bouncy as she made her way along the beach.
The rougher seas have washed in lots of these holdfasts with the kelp still firmly attached to them.
Later in the afternoon I carried on with my latest painting :-)
