Soft and furry

Slept really well after our lake district escapades yesterday........lovely blue skies again this morning!!

We had to nip into town for one or two things, but resisted stopping for a coffee and instead we walked home, cutting through the wooded area, where I quickly snapped these lovely pussy willow blooms, looking so pretty in the sunshine.

Once back at the ranch, I made coffee whilst hub got the garden furniture out of hibernation in the garage......then we sat in the sunshine readng the papers with our coffee, bliss!

I made. quick sandwich for lunch, pork stuffing and apple sauce for hub and ham with mustard mayo for me, with a packet of french fries.......then into our gardening clothes for an afternoon of grafting! A day rose that had become very leggy needed to be dug up and shredded, together with an old wallflower.
Plantd a couple of blue agapanthus in the gaps. Covered the pond to stop the ducks getting in there, just whilst they are mating!!

Washed some the planters following the jetwashing session, top dressed some of them too, whilst hub transplanted some strawberry runners, and some of his first early potatoes snd mowed the front lawn.......we took a break for a brew and put on some sun block as it was really quite warm, not complaining mind!!

We called it a day around 5, my back was beginning to complain ;-). Weve had grilled peppered mackerel, with brown pasta and Waldorf salad for dinner.....really enjoyed it, just a pity the house smells so much now! ;-)

More of the same weather to come tomorrow how good is that :-)
