British Summertime

We put the clocks forward this morning so we are now on British Summertime. Some countries call it daylight saving which doesn't make sense because we still have the same amount of daylight, we just use it differently!
Today is Mothers' Day, or Mothering Sunday as we used to know it. We went to see our son and his family and they gave us a warm welcome and a lovely roast dinner. Gifts too, which was very kind.
This clock is very dear to son J. because it was given to him by his sister. It keeps good time, has a loud strike, and doesn't seem to mind being topped with two toy rats which apparently came from Warwick Castle!
