Sails And Cloud

Took a trip to Anstruther with the plan to walk to Crail - except we were a little late in starting and turned back around halfway.

On our return journey we noticed a strange cross-hatched cloud formation (see extra photo) - does anyone know what it is called? It was difficult to photograph as I was looking into the sun.
