Wind Wand

We are in New Plymouth, looking at the Wind Wand, by sculptor Len Lye. It was commissioned by the District Council to celebrate the New Millennium, the light at the top being switched on at midnight on December 31st 1999. Naturally, when we would like a windy day, it is relatively calm, so we did not see it in action.
