Snake

Visiting our son in his new house this weekend.  This afternoon we filled a skip with rubbish from the garden (old sheds, rubble,etc).

Amongst the rubble we found a snake family.  Surprisingly, this is (I believe) the first time I have ever seen a wild snake in this country.  As I am no expert, perhaps one of you can identify the type of snake (I don't think there are many varieties in this country from which to choose).
