No April Fools Joke!

Dear Diary,

I got home just in time.  This morning we are buried in at least 10" of snow and it is snow quite hard still.  The power went off a few minutes ago but my ancient generator kicked on so at least I have heat.  I won't be going anywhere today but that's alright by me.  After a trip there is unpacking and laundry and just reconnecting with my furred and feathered friends, including Emerson who had a dandy time at his holiday camp!

I have included a photo of Toff the Carleton cat in his birthday get up.  The students and faculty celebrate his birthday each year on April 1st.  Brad sent me the photograph.

I will make this short.  Who knows how long the internet will stay on!
