Birthday Flowers

What lovely a way to begin celebrating my birthday weekend! This gorgeous basket of spring arrived this morning from DDW and Mr. W. The flowers are certainly a beautiful cheer up on a dismal day of drenching rain.  I'd love to say I share a birthday with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, but I'm not actually an April Fool's Day baby. My mother claimed she worked hard to prevent that and I actually arrived in the afternoon of April 2nd. Most people think my birthday is the 4th, so I just celebrate all month!

This day came in with drenching rain after a night of wind and rain pelting the bedroom windows.
