Jimmy's Dribble...!

We've come on a few days' break to Alnwick to celebrate our wedding anniversary on Tuesday.

The weather was lovely and we had a super walk along the river with views of Alnwick Castle (of Harry Potter fame - it was used in the films).

However we just had to blip this photo of "Jimmy's Dribble" (my Boy Scout humour is showing itself again!): the two parts of the picture show opposite sides of the stone pillar which forms the "pant". Alnwick had about 15 "pants" which provided water points for the community after the streams had been covered up. There's more info here.

The extra shows part of the castle, taken next to a stone lion on a bridge over the River Aln.
