No rest for the wicked

After yesterday's exertions we thought we would have a slightly more restful day today.
Lucie and her mum and dad came up to join us for the day and I thought we wouldn't go very far or very fast. Then they said they would meet us at Great Wood car park in Borrowdale. That could only mean one thing, they intended to walk up the vertical side of Walla Crag. I still didn't think they would go very fast what with Lucie in a back carrier but we went at a cracking pace and this is all of us, and Bess the collie, minus me on the top looking over Derwentwater and Keswick.
We walked back down to Ashness bridge where we had a quick picnic lunch.
After that two of us decided to jump across the stream instead of going up over the bridge. Only one of them made it and the other landed in the water! Can you guess which? It wasn't me!
Anyway that curtailed our walk a bit as LooseCanon was a bit wet and soggy. Oops I've given it away!
So after he had changed, we went for tea and coffee and a bit of retail therapy in Keswick.
Extra, lenticular clouds.

Just a thought. If anyone fancies going for a pint in Keswick on Wednesday evening about 6.30 pm at the Wainwright , do say and we can meet up!
