The ruins of the Chapel of Languidou

The weather today was not that good - much cooler, quite cloudy and the odd spot of rain around every time we seemed to step out of the car.

We started out at Penhors again as we wanted to visit the Breizh Amour restaurant as we knew they did fabulous seafood and we were not disappointed. After a short walk, until the rain came, we tucked into Crab Mayonnaise for lunch - it was delicious, even if it does take ages to get all the meat out of the shell :)

After lunch we continued along La Route du Vent Solaire, which is a scenic route along the coast taking in some interesting places. Our first stop was at the ruins of Languidou, which are 12th century ruins, however the rose window was added later in the 16th century apparently. They were in quite good condition considering their age. After a couple of pictures, it started to rain, so we ran back to the car and continued.
Next stop was La Baie d'Audierne where there were remnants of WW2 fortifications on the beach.
Finally we stopped at the Chapel and Calvary at Tronoen near Saint Jean de Trolimon. It's a very large calvary and when we arrived there was a coachload of tourists cluttering up the area - how inconsiderate!!!
Anyway, they soon moved on and I was able to get a shot of both (see extra).
We headed back via a local chocolate factory, and just had to buy some to sample at home.......diet is not going so well this week ;)

Thanks for all the kind messages and stars recently. They are all so much appreciated.
