Sunday in the Park

Another backblip.
Had breakfast then walked to Central Park.
(On the way we saw a yellow cab that had just crashed., see extra)
What a well used facility the park is.
Obviously the park acts as the lungs to the city providing oxygen, peace, tranquility and space.
So much to see, so much to do:
Cycling, jogging, skating by all shapes, ages and sizes- fantastic.
People taking rides by horse and carriage.
Heard this week the Mayor wants to get rid of them!
At least three dogs being pushed in strollers!
A hoard of photographers running around after one bird with cameras that hosted lenses as long as my arm.
We saw a wedding by the lake, again too far away for my humble lens to capture.
Then a ballerina having a photographic session for her portfolio, l've included this in extras even though it's not the sharpest of shots, you know how much l love the ballet.
We went to Strawberry Fields to see the John Lennon memorial.
After completing a six mile circuit for our daily walk we sat by the little lake and enjoyed the sun on our faces.
Walked back to the hotel past the park zoo.
Called in at St Patrick's Cathedral as we happened to pass by.
Then looked up at the bluest sky.
Lovely.
Then went for blueberry pancakes!
