Deja vu

The book I'm listening to at present (Kate Atkinson 'Life After Life') is all about deja vu and what happens if the little things that change your life don't happen. And this is deja vu, go back 2 and a half years and you'll see Olivia in the same outfit on the same chair. But Amelia is so small she slips down and she's not nearly as smiley as big sis.

I was home alone with her this morning and then we spent the afternoon in Chamomile. #3 Wen and boyfriend came home from Taiwan yesterday so it had been a late night as we went over to see them at 9. This afternoon it was lunch and Catherine, a cousin, was there too. I got acquainted with Masha and the Bear (dubbed into Mandarin, with Chinese subtitles, from the original Russian) while the family sat and talked, in Mandarin. Then Olivia and I had a swim in the late afternoon sun before tea. WH is still on confinement food and G was doing a presentation at Nottingham Uni.

Olivia was very tired tonight and I kept upsetting her. 'No' is her favourite word.

Late swim, breaststroke and back crawl.
