Macro Seedhead

This is a seedhead of a plant growing at my front door. I believe that it's a native. Each seedhead would be about 1mm, and is very tiny. I'm wondering if it's a pepper tree, but it's not quite that either. I'll put another photo in Extras, which I've just taken on my phone. It's fairly dark, because it's nighttime out there! LOL
Any ideas?
