If you can't beat them...

Axolotl

Up in Edinburgh for a few days to meet up with the girls and the Grandkids.  We arrived early afternoon and went to meet Katkatkat at the allotment.  We unloaded the load of boards from our replacement of the verandah at Amber Nooks so that she can make borders for her beds,

Back to the flat via Sainsbury's.  Poor G had to leave to go to work and Clickychick KKK & myself set off for a meal at the Calley Sample room.  On the way we had to stop off at one of KKK's friends houses to feed the Axolotls as they were away.

Unfortunately the tank was positioned in a place where it was very difficult to get light to so I had to push the ISO as far as it would go hence the graininess (noise).

The main "beastie" in the shot is a leucistic Axolotl with a melanoid one barely visible behind it.  Axolotls are neotenic salamanders (they never develop past juvenile characteristics.  They are native to a few underground Lakes near Mexico city.  They seem to be extinct in the wild since about 2013 owing to water pollution.
