Bumps in the Road

Donut make a great holiday

The kids slept in until pretty reasonable times today (the wee man at 6am while the little lady made it to 7:30am). We didn't a lazy morning around the house, chasing nice children with slow motion cameras and then giggling at the results.

A little later, we decided to drive into the countryside for a walk along the banks at Alte.

En route we stopped at a scenic village market in Salir. The kids enjoyed a filho (churro/donut) while we bought some delicious fig and almond stars.

The afternoon was spent by the pool again, with the kids becoming increasingly fearless of the water. We must have spent at least 90 minutes in the pool again, with both kids now willing to jump in from the side without being caught. It's worth noting that neither can swim yet so we're always on hand to pull them up from the water once they launch themselves in!

They're so confident and at ease in the water though, and with it being so shallow, they can both walk throughout the majority of the pool and still have their feet touch the bottom. It's really perfect fit kids.

PS I also did my best to spread the word about my friend's Indigogo project about the Tony Hawk video game and skating in the late 90s and early 2000s.
