A Course on Buddhism

I spent the day in Delft, actually at the office of our favourite travel agency, who specializes in Asia and occasionally organizes something Asiatic, like an afternoon of Asian cooking or, like today, a course on Buddhism, complete with semi-vegan lunch.  I'd already cancelled twice so I made it a point, tired or not, to attend today's course.

No regrets.  Learned a lot (also thinking about the intercultural subjects I'm involved with at work, so it all ties in), clarified a few things I wasn't sure about, got to know other clients and we shared where we'd been and why we were interested in Buddhism.  One thing we were all glad about -- that it isn't a religion.

Sunny day, as you can see.  Wasn't sure which shot to use but hubby liked the lines here, and I thought it would be more interesting than just the usual shot of the water.  Delft is where the famous Delft blue started, but it is also where the royal family have their crypt, where the country's founding father, William of Orange, was assassinated, where famous Dutch painter Jan Vermeer (of 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' fame) was born. In short, should you have more time when you visit and should you be interested in some Dutch history, Delft is the place to go.
