Day out

Easter Sunday's outing took us to Dapdune Wharf on the Wey Navigation in Guildford. We got there early enough to beat the busy time because, in common with other National Trust properties, there was an Easter Egg hunt which brought in the families. The Wey Navigation was an early navigable waterway which carried goods to and from London to Guildford. There were good exhibitions describing the history of this atmospheric place. Today we persuaded the menfolk to join us and they took a keen interest in the exhibits (see extra)
On the way home we took a detour to Ranmore to see the bluebells. (See extra). Another good day, and I gave decided I like having visitors - it makes us get out and about!
