Through the Cave

Today we walked the geology path again. Last time we had to stop at the cave, because the way on led up a ladder and Rusty the dog was not good on ladders! Today we carried on up the ladder, up the tree roots and then up to the top of the hill!  Once up there we had a grand view of the coast looking north. Strangely enough the well-marked park became much less well marked after that and a little while later we lost the path altogether but found our own way down the rocks, into the moss covered forest, and then back to the beach.
The extra is taken from the top of the trail and we are looking north. On the left Smitingen can be seen, the best beach for a long way. On the horizon, on the left, is the high coast and the round island of Högbonden, which is at least 50 kilometers north. Strangely enough we have never been here before, despite living in the area over 30 years and really liking walking in the forest, along the coast etc. We'll be back.
The air is very clear, perhaps because it is only 2°C and at night sinks to -6°C. The sun is misleading here because it is COLD!
