Stob Poite Coire Ardair

This is the broad ridge connecting Carn Liath (out of sight in the mist here) with Stob Poite Coire Ardair. I'm assured locally that Ardair here should be pronounced "A-dare" and I know Liath should be said like "Lee-Ah" a girl's name.

Anyway I saw a recent blip from these slopes and it reminded me of this lovely Autumn walk last year. A youthful Caley had already developed his taste for running in the mountains (within strict guide lines) and Bruce while very fit enjoys plodding along and taking in the view as here.

This elevated walkway ends with a decent in to the Window a huge notch which separates this hills from the mass of Creag Meagaidh, next Munro west. Despite the sun there was a wee chill in the air but both dogs saw fit to have a refreshing swim in the lovely wee lochan at the base of the Creag Meagaidh cliffs on the way home.
