Faraway fern

In a complete change of subject from yesterday, this is a fern which I've planted in a pocket at the base of the rock face outside our kitchen window.

Blechnum palmiforme is a hardy fern, sometimes a tree fern, which grows only in the Tristan da Cunha archipelago in the South Atlantic. This one, grown from spores by my friend the late Jamie Taggart, originated on Gough island.
